EngView Packaging Suite is a CAD/CAM solution for structural design and preproduction of boxes and POP/POS displays. The EngView software is integrated with Adobe® Illustrator®. It helps professionals visualize the 3D model of the packaging with the product inside and apply graphics to the structure. Library of Parametric Designs Presentation
The EngView Library of resizable packaging standards has accumulated over 1 500 parametric designs for folding carton, corrugated board, grey board and PVC. The full ECMA and FEFCO codes have been parametrized and included in the Library among many others.

Library of Displays
The EngView Library of displays and multipart structures includes over 500 resizable designs for corrugated board and rigid board materials. The 2D and 3D designs can be opened in the EngView CAD software or directly in Adobe Illustrator, where graphic designers can create the artwork and generate production files with high resolution images. The library is regularly updated with the latest industry-endorsed structures and materials.
Drafting with Parametric Components Presentation
The Drafting module offers a set of tools that covers the entire process of drawing and editing a structural design. EngView's packaging software includes a rich library of drag-and-drop parametric components, making design creation easier and smarter than never before.
All components resize automatically relative to the structure they are snapped to.
Parametric Drafting (Synergy)
EngView's parametric drafting module (Synergy) is a CAD tool for creating resizable structures by setting relations between objects when drawing. The functionality is based on an award-winning Variational and Parametric Design Technology, in which objects are drawn and modified by using parameters for various constructional characteristics.
3d Presenter
The 3D module allows realistic visualization and proofing of the 2D structure and artwork of packaging and POP/POS displays. At every step of the creation process, the designer can see the changes apply in 3D and share the prototype with colleagues and clients. Beside 3D pdfs EngView Suite now supports Collada and Web 3D exports, allowing prompt sharing of 3D models in a browser. Visualization of finishing effects and folding sequences gives a genuine representation of the design reducing the need for sample making.
Integration with Adobe Illustrator
EngView’s packaging software is integrated with Adobe Illustrator. The plug-in lets graphic designers easily apply artwork onto structural drawings. Verifying the results in the 3D environment happens quickly and without efforts. Just a click, and 3D PDF presentations of animated structures, completed with graphics and finishing effects are available. Users can inspect the product prototype and make changes on it immediately.
Layout Optimizer
The Layout Optimizer module allows packaging producers to place one-up designs onto the sheet through a step-by-step wizard or automatically based on predefined templates. The software provides statistics about the waste area and offers comparison between alternative solutions.
Varnish Blanket Design Presentation
This module enables users of EngView’s packaging software to take advantage of the automatic generation of rubber varnish blankets for plotter cutouts.
When one-up varnish areas overlap in the layout the software merges them before generating the blankets.
Dieboard Design
The team behind the EngView’s packaging software has created the Dieboard Design Module with the aim to guide die professionals through all the stages of designing a fully functional diecutting board and the accompanying waste stripping dies.
Counterplate Design
One of the EngView’s packaging software capabilities is the assisting and automating the design of pertinax counterplates.
In Package Designer Suite, the design of a counterplate is technologically linked with the design of the cutting die. The connection between the design of the die and the counterplate takes place in the initial 1up design. In it, special indicators (markers) are placed which ensure the correct positioning of the counterplate against the cutting die.
Stripping Dies Design
The stripping dies are generated after the definition of the die contours. Generally, the male and the female stripping dies are generated simultaneously; however, each one of them can be generated also separately.
